Chairman's report on activities since the last committee meeting

The chairman informed about the steps already taken that would enable further functioning of the Czech Handel Society

• Registration of the new chairman as a statutory member authority
• Access to the company's data mailbox ensured

Tasks, information from committee members and guests

Tasks for the chairman:

• Tax office, the bank (ensuring access to the account).
• Change of the registered headquarters address: According to the Articles of Association, the headquarters is in Prague, so a change of the registered headquarter address within Prague can take place without changing the Articles of Association. The record of today's committee meeting is already prepared, by which the Committee are changing the registered office from Pavel Polka's apartment to my apartment. Since I am the apartment owner, I can immediately give my consent to the use of that space. This should be enough for the registry court to implement the change.

We were looking for the solution of how to deal with the regular mail possibly delivered to Pavlov's apartment address.

• The possibilities – inform the senders known to us about the new address or arrange for a re-delivery.
• Michal Typl informed about the opening of the mailbox in March, and that there was no mail intended for the Czech Handel Society.
• Libor Hofman promised to try to get to the house where Pavel Polka lived and find out if there was any mail there and to resolve the situation at the local branch of the Czech Post.

Internet contact. Jan Kučera informed that immediately after Pavel Polka's death he redirected the address info@haendel.cz to the technical director's e-mail.

Tasks:

• the technical director will (re)check whether there are any shipments among the documents from the estate or in what was in the mailbox in March when the apartment was cleared out;
• Libor Hofman will check the situation at the house where Pavel Polka used to live and at the local post office.
• The technical director will then contact the owner of the house.
• In further discussion, Jan Kučera informed about access to the website. He can change the content, but does not have access to the administration. It is desirable to switch from free hosting to paid for security reasons, the https option, etc. (Jan Kučera offered to pay the hosting fees regularly.) Conclusion: Jan Kučera will ensure the necessary steps in cooperation with the chairman.
• Task for the chairman: Festival in Halle.
  The chairman reported on his communication with Prof. Wolfgang Hirschmann (President of the Internationale Georg-Friedrich-Händel-Gesellschaft) about his planned participation and that he will present himself at the Members' Assembly in Halle on 7th June. He will travel to Halle from Friday to Monday. In this context, an agreement with Libor Hofman about a name tag and business cards, the use of a new logo.
• Other trips of the chairman
  • A weekend after Halle – Dresden, Handel's Saul at the Semperoper
  • On Saturday, July 12th, a trip to Julius Caesar in Znojmo.
  • A planned trip to Innsbruck
  • Bayreuth Baroque in September at the Margrave's Theatre. The chairman has 4 free tickets at his disposal for the dress rehearsal before the premiere of the opera that is to be performed there. He could take three Handelians with him, he would count on it in the coming years.
• Continuing the tradition of November stays in Italy with the Princess di Collalto e San Salvatore.
• Festival in Znojmo: Libor Hofman and Michal Typl will take care of the organization of the group and the car.
