Traditional pre-Christmas ascent to the Říp mountain

In memory of Milan Bakič and Pavel Polka

After several years, when, mainly due to external circumstances, the pre-Christmas ascent to the memorial mountain Říp could not take place, the Society have decided to renew this fine tradition.

When:

• On Saturday, December 14, 2024.

Where:

• MEETING PLACE AND TIME IN PRAGUE: The Masaryk train station, directly on the platform—train OS 6908 in the direction of Ústí nad Labem, at 8:25 a.m.
• MAIN PLACE AND TIME OF MEETING: At the Ctiněves train stop at 11:00 a.m. (Participants arriving here independently will wait for the arrival of the train OS 12300 from Vraňany towards Straškov. The train may be delayed—regular arrival at 10:54 a.m.… If unsure, they can call the contact number below.)
  There are parking possibilities in the neighbourhood of the train stop, however not many participants are supposed to arrive by cars.
• STRATEGICALLY IMPORTANT POINT: The pavillon at the niche chapel of st. Hubert. We will stop here on the way to the summit and enjoy refreshments from the supplies we would have brought.

The train connection from Prague:

• Departure at 9:42 a.m. by passenger train OS 6908 in the direction of Ústí nad Labem from the Prague Masaryk railway station to Vraňany.
• Transfer at 10:39a.m. at the Vraňany train station to train U22 (Os 12300) in the direction of Bříza obec.
• Arrival at 10:54 a.m. by train U22 (Os 12300) to the Ctiněves train stop.
